The movie "Kwaidan" in Athens, Greece

A great evening for the friends of cinema and Lafcadio Hearn in Athens!

On Saturday, February the 14th, we had the chance to watch the movie «Kwaidan», the masterpiece of Masaaki Kobayashi, at the big screen of the cinema Marian. I was invited as the translator of Lafcadio's books to prologue the movie.

The lounge was decorated with «The portrait of Lafcadio Hearn», an artwork of mine which I made last year and which is the first of a series of artworks I am working this period in the memory of the great and beloved writer.

Some distinguished people honoured with their presence the event. I would like to thank mr. Takis Efstathiou, the man who brought Lafcadio Hearn back to his birthplace, professor Vassiliades, mr. Megaklis Rogakos, mr. Constantine Xenakis, mr. Constantine Bobos, mr. Yannis Katomeris.

I also would like to thank mr. Ioannis Paraskevopoulos, who is the coordinator and also an admirer of the great Japanese culture, and all the people who choose to celebrate the Valentines day honouring Lafcadio Hearn.
