I was happy to be interviewed by Glyka Pavlidou for the magazine "Together" on December.

Interview at the state channel ERT

On Monday 14th of December I was invited to the TV magazino "ON ERT" of the state channel ERT. The theme was "Lafcadio Hearn books at the Greek school libraries". This is important for Lafcadio readers and for the Greek youth and I would like to thank Ms. Heleni Hrona and Mrs. Andreas Roditis for the invitation and the interesting interview.

60 years of WLT

As a proud member of the Women Literature Team I illustrated and designed the poster and the invitation. Happy anniversary WLT!

The Culture Deputy Mayor knowing my interesting in the traditional houses guided me to an old macedonian house. Here we are, dressed in the same way and colors, in front of the house standing on the alley from which the famous Greek hero Pavlos Melas passed.

It was a great honor and pleasure to be with two writers: Angeliki Varella and Ioanna Bakirtzi-Babeta, as a panelist at the convention "Imagination is an asset to the conquest of knowledge".

The Municipality of Kozani and the Culture Deputy Mayor of Kozani invited two writers and an illustrator of books for children to make a presentation to the educator and the students of West Macedonian University. The illustrator is me (the read head) and this is the poster I designed for the event.

The Minister of Education congratulated me on my translations of the books of Lafcadio Hearn. In this great photo is also clockwise the professor Mr. Petroheilos, the International Coordinator Mr. Takis Efstathiou and his excellency the Ambassador of Japan in Greece Mr. Masuo Nishibayashi.

Here I am holding the artwork "Litany at Myrtidiotissa" one of my Kyhterian Landscapes. Myrtidiotissa is a famous monastery of Virgin Mary where a great fest is traditionaly held every year at the 24th of September.

The editor of the book "Catch that Cat" had the idea, planned and organized an exhibition of my artwork and offered it to me as a present. A wonderful present. So, thanks to George C. Poulos, an exhbition of my "Kytherian Landscapes" was held at the Cultural Center of Potamos, Kythera from 25/7 till 31/7. Thank you very much, George! I am grateful! Here is the editor at the installation. He is holding his favorite artwork "Divers at the ruins of old Scandia".

Speech at Lefkada

I participated to the celebration of Lafcadio's birthday at Lefkada's Cultural Center. On Sunday 28/6 I presented the abstracts of the International Symposium which was held last year. I would like to thank Bon and Shoko Koizumi who kindly gave me the permission to use Koizumi Family archives.

Fanny Ftaka is the Culture Deputy Mayor of Kozani. She is qualified and she amazingly organized the Multilinguality Festival of Kozani. I am so happy to meet her!

Dr. Argyro Moumtzidou, or Rhea for friens, is a scientist and the spirit of Multilingualism Festivals and Cafes. Amazing work! I am proud for our friendship and cooperation.

What a surprise!

When I arrived at Kozani, I saw my artwork in a big banner at the facade of the Hotel Ermionion. Ermionion is a historical and one of the most beautiful buildings of the town.

Farewell to a beloved friend

Martis, my dog, is not with us anymore. We've been together for eight years full of special moments. Here is one of them: when we find out that Martis had a pigeon as a friend and they were playing together at the back yard.

I was invited in Lefkada to make a series of presentation about cartoon and illustration as a profession to the pupils of four high schools. Four amazing days with young people. Thank you Lefkada for the invitation. Always excited to be here!

During my exhibition «Two years Izola» I made a presentation of my beloved writer. The audience was amased by Lafcadio's odyssey. Takis Efstathiou and Dimitrios Vasileiadis were there, among the other friends of Lafcadio. Thank you all. Thank you, Lafcadio!

Izola as «Chocolate Cake Lady» became the poster, the catalogue's cover and one of the biggest fine art prints of the exhibition.

Izola, the cartoon character I designed, became two years old. Ι celebrate Izola's birthday with an exhibition of artworks from «Izola's world». The exhibition takes place at the Social Cooperative Cafe Perimpanou, in Athens. Izola as «Chocolate Cake Lady» is a star!

The actor and the book

Elias Logothetis, one of my favourite actors, called on the phone after receiving the "Japanese Miscellany" as a present from Takis Efstathiou to congratulate me on the translation I've made. I remained speechless. It was beyond my dreams!

With Zois Zaverdinos

I was proposed to write the script for a documentary film about the great painter Theodoros Stamos. So I started immediately to interview people who personaly knew Stamos. I had the delight to meet the painter Zois Zaverdinos, who, although is a famous painter, is a modest and warm person and a great storyteller as well.

It was a great moment when I met Constantin Xenakis, one of the greatest Greek contemporary artists. His good opinion about my artwork gave me new strength to go on.

Screening of "Kwaidan" in Athens

A great evening for the friends of cinema and Lafcadio Hearn in Athens! On Saturday, February the 14th, we had the chance to watch the movie «Kwaidan», the masterpiece of Masaaki Kobayashi, at the big screen of the cinema Marian. I was invited as the translator of Lafcadio's books to prologue the movie.
